How Can Yoga Help Depression?

There are innumerable physical and mental benefits of yoga.



Any individual who is afflicted with sadness can be said to be suffering from a mental health disorder but when this emotion is intensified to such a level that a person's normal functions are hindered, then the person is said to have developed major depression. There is yoga for stress which can prevent depression from developing. Depression is a mental condition which creates physical manifestations and renders a person socially unfit to function.



To cure depression, medical help is required but along with that a depressed person can start practicing Yoga. It reduces anxiety and depression, calms the mind and creates positivity in the atmosphere. All these healing aspects of yoga help in alleviating melancholy.
