PMS or Premenstrual syndrome include a combination of symptoms that occurs before the menstrual cycle. Before the start of menstrual cycle, almost all women experience an array of symptoms like fatigue, tension, irritability, poor concentration, food carving, breast tenderness, bloating and headaches.
Fatigue is a common symptom because women feel tired easily as the flow of liquids from their body tend to reduce the energy level, resulting in weakness. This period of menstrual cycle overexcites a woman in all what she does and her responses are also out of proportion.
She also feels lack of concentration and face difficulty in making any important decision. Other known symptoms of PMS are mood swings, tearfulness, weight gain, insomnia, menstrual migraines, abdominal cramps, asthma, sore throat, sinus, chronic conditions, palpitation, nausea, fainting and various urinary problems.
All these symptoms worsen with time. Menstrual cramps are pains experienced by all women in the abdomen and pelvic during the menstrual period. These cramps range from mild to severe and can interfere with the regular activities for several days. The pain actually begins in the lower part of the abdomen and pelvis.
This pain can be periodic or continual depending on the body system and can cause lot of discomfort, extending to lower back or leg. The most common symptoms of cramps are headaches, nausea, vomiting and constipation or diarrhea. It also causes pain in the abdomen, hips, inner thighs and lower back. Menopause symptoms are experienced by all women when their child bearing years come to an end.
This is a natural biological process that beings somewhere between the age of early 30s and 60s. |
