Warts - on Finger Near Nail
suggested by Pam
on Saturday, May 19, 2007
For warts on fingers near the nail or cuticle, apply Apple Cider Vinegar to cottonball or swab, and secure with a bandaid over the wart. I pulled the cotton off of a Q-tip swab, soaked it in Apple Cider Vinegar. I used a band-aid and wrapped it around the finger (on top of the cotton swab). I did this every night. In less than two weeks, my ugly 4-year old wart eventually loosened from the skin and it was easy to pull off. Note: you should expect throbbing pain in your whole finger the first few days. The black "roots" of the wart seem to rise to the top of the wart, so the wart will have black spots, or the majority of the wart will turn black or deep brown. That's a good sign it's working. It may look bad for many days (mine was about 10 days). A lot of other home remedies say to do this all day and night. I have a job where I can't afford to go to work smelling like apple cider vinegar -- so I put the treatment on all night while sleeping, removed the bandaid in the morning, bathed, dried the finger, and put a clean, dry bandaid on it all day (so no one could see the ugly thing). I repeated the vinegar treatment at night. When the wart came off, underneath the skin oozed for 4 days -- it actually left an indentation in my skin. I feared I was disfigured. But in about another two weeks, new skin grew back. Three months later, the skin is still clean and smooth. I couldn't believe how well this worked.

As a child I had many warts. My doctor decided to try something before cutting or freezing them off. He said that warts are a virus and for me to take unicapM vitamins from UPJOHN. It worked great and I haven't had any since. Now you can't get Unicap M from upjohn so use like theragram M. The M is for minerals. Good luck

Warts faded away
suggested by Cheri
on Saturday, April 7, 2007
A few years ago my 6 yr old grandson was developing warts on his fingers. I had read that warts form when there is a pH imbalance, so I suggested that she give him an Alka-Seltzer every 2-3 days. After the 2nd time drinking this his warts started 'dissolving' away.

Plantars warts remedy
suggested by Gina
on Tuesday, March 20, 2007
I had several plantars warts on each foot, went to a doctor who said there were too many to treat as I wouldn't be able to walk if he burned or cut them out. I was at a loss and assumed I'd just have to live with them. One day I bought some shoes that were made of a polyurethane product and wore them to work. After a 9 hour day wearing these non-breathable shoes, my feet were soaked with sweat, but when I took them off, I noticed every wart was gone. Apparently the key was to eliminate air contact so the spores can't thrive, which would be the reason duct tape also works.

Apple Cider Vinegar All The Way!
suggested by Kyla
on Friday, March 16, 2007
Cut the tip off of a Q-tip and soak it in Apple Cider Vinegar. Squeeze out the excess and put it on the wart before bed, securing with Duct Tape or a Band-aid. Repeat nightly for about a week and the warts will blacken and fall off. I've had 4 on my left hand pretty much my entire life and have tried everything but laser($), nothing worked until Apple Cider Vinegar - and it's MUCH cheaper than the OTC stuff! Good Luck!!

Wart remedy that works
suggested by bongo
on Wednesday, February 21, 2007
Warts are killed by depriving them of oxygen. Just use strong tape and cover the entire wart, and the wart will die in a few days.
I had a large wart on my foot which I tried to kill unsucessfully with acids for weeks.
This was recommended to me by a pharmacist.
