I have been a victim of posion ivy since childhood-usually a shot would be my only relief. I heard to whipe the affected area with 100% vinegar (rub with saturated washcloth) then shower as usual. I've needed no shots since this miracleous prevention!!!

I have used jewelweed stems and leaves crushed and use directly on the afflicition... stops the itch instantly, lasts for a long time. reapply as needed.

Jewel weed which grows within a few feet of poison ivy, sumac and sting nettle stops the itching and drys up the blisters within 2 days. You can rub the skin contacted with the fresh leaves or order it on the internet and make a tea to dab on it. I make lotions and soaps with it.
