I have been a victim of posion ivy since childhood-usually a shot would be my only relief. I heard to whipe the affected area with 100% vinegar (rub with saturated washcloth) then shower as usual. I've needed no shots since this miracleous prevention!!!

Jewel weed which grows within a few feet of poison ivy, sumac and sting nettle stops the itching and drys up the blisters within 2 days. You can rub the skin contacted with the fresh leaves or order it on the internet and make a tea to dab on it. I make lotions and soaps with it.

The juice from the stems of Jewel Weed also called "Touch-Me-Not's" always found next to poison ivy. The plant has pretty orange blossoms. Best time to pick end of July.
