This is quite tricky to do but works everytime. 1.Place some water in a drinking cup 2.Bend forward at the waist 3.Hold your nose 4. Place your lips on the far side of the glass 4.Try to drink a few sips..this requires you to tip the cup so that the water runs along the roof of your mouth

hiccups

a method which has never failed to stop hiccups immeddiatly
and amaze every person with hiccups that iv told
what is required is to run any fluid along the top of a persons mouth and swallow
basically what the person with hiccups does is
(1) have a small amount of water in their mouth
(2) swing their head up making the water flow along the top of their mouth into
their throat and swallow
when a fluid runs along the top of your mouth its like an off swith for hiccups
it usually will work first time
and is quite amazing and has never ever failed
cheers

Take a small bag, hold it tightly to your mouth, then inhale and exhale deeply about 10 times not letting any other air in. You'll be inhaling and exhaling the same air....repeat only if necessary.

Pushing Behind Ears
suggested by [unspecified] on Wednesday, July 19, 2006
I have tried everything, but I found the best way to get rid of my hiccups is to push behind the ear. Place your thumb right behind your ear where the earlobe connects to your head. It will feel like a little hole that you have right behind you ear. If you feel that hole then you are in the right spot, but you have to push in as deep as you can withstand. Do not be scared to push hard because you will need to in order for this to work.

Hiccups
suggested by [unspecified] on Tuesday, July 18, 2006
Take a dry cloth and gently grasp your tongue with it and pull outward. Yes, this will hurt a little, but it reverses the hiccup mechanism or reflex and causes the hiccuping to stop.
