I have had really severe chapped lips for a year! I've tried every home remedy. The other day I was cleaning my room and found some chapstick I had purchase a while ago. It's called "Blistex Medicated Balm SPF15" I used it and got immediate results! My lips had actually been bleeding because they were so messed up. Within three days my lips were completely healed. It's a miracle! I couldn't believe it. I don't know what they put in this stuff but I was shocked when my lips were healed. I'm still shocked! Good luck!

I had the worst case of cracked, peeling, burning sore lips for over 3 years, I tried every chap stick available. I finally went to a dermatologist and she advised me that I had an allergy to Gel Toothpaste. Yes, I changed my Toothpaste to the very basic Colgate white Toothpaste and I'm completely cured. "NO MORE CHAP STICK" Try it!

Rubbing your lips with a lemon wedge for 10-15 minutes and then sleeping with vitamin E oil on your lips overnight! Its magic!

when my lips are cracked i use Vaseline grease. take a little and apply to both top and bottom lips, at any time. its just as good as chop sticks, in fact better it realy does work.

Any type of balm, chap stick, etc that contains wax actually makes your lips more dry. Wax repels water, think about it. Use a water based lip conditioner instead. Apply liberally.

It has Camomile,Honey,Castor oil & natural beeswax to sooth & eliminate crack & dry lips & face. Alot of people dont realize that your lips & face are exposed to the SUN/WIND year round so use balms & face creams with an SPF. Maintain by avoiding Balms & Lipsticks that don't have beeswax or castor oil as its main ingredient, as these only promote dryness. good health

Vaseline helps relieve the pain of dry skin and chapped lips. I use it on my face, hands, and lips every night before i go to bed. Overnight it heals fast, works wonders. It is also good to put it over regular moisturizer because it helps lock it in.

Making sure to not let yourself become dehydrated is the most important thing to remember. Drink plenty of fluids, avoid sun overexposure, smoking, dry indoor environments, etc. I would not, however, try the gunpowder idea!
