Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation means reconstruction for enhancement of size of breasts done surgically.



Breast augmentation is done by surgically inserting breast implants in each of the breast of a woman to increase the size of the bust.

Breast augmentation is also done by those women, who feel that the size of their breasts does not match the size of the rest of their body. So they go in for breast augmentation so that complete body looks better constructed that before.



Breast augmentation is done by surgeons or plastic surgeons who have gained training and expertise in this area.

Breast augmentation can considerably alter a woman’s looks and confidence.



Though this is true, women looking for breast augmentation with a thought that people will be nicer to them are not true. Breast augmentation is ideal for those women, who have lost their breast elasticity and muscle because of loss of weight and those women who have lost the shape of their breasts after pregnancy and breast feeding.

Breast augmentation is done by doing breast implants that are made of rubber and either filled with saline water or silicone, whatever the person may opt for.



These implants come in different size and shape and the women can choose the one she wants depending on the reason of implants.

Breast implants are generally harmless, but there is no guarantee that these will last a lifetime, therefore breast implants requires periodic check ups and also further surgery if one or both the implants are damaged.



Breast implants have been however, certified by the FDA and have been tested rigorously for the quality.

Breast augmentation is for breast enhancement; therefore it is absolutely necessary that the woman going in for breast augmentation is an adult and that the breasts are fully grown before she undergoes this surgery. There are also certain amounts of risk surrounding the breast augmentation, saline water implants may leak, however body may absorb the saline water and may expel it naturally.



In case the silicone implants leak, it is necessary to change these.

Breast implants also show incorrect results in case of mammography or any other breast diagnostic technique, therefore it is recommended that an MRI be done along with mammography to arrive at correct results. Though there are these consequences, breast augmentation is quite famous among those women who are very conscious of their appearance and would like to enhance their looks so that they look more attractive and curvy.
