Children especially take to guilt and feeling insecured when they find something is wrong with them, therefore you should ensure that you do certain things that make your child comfortable inside and outside of home:
Care should be taken to boost your child’s self esteem and self confidence; this will help them positively throughout their lives, you can do this by showering affection and attention on your child, you should take care not to focus only on the negative points of the child, give him recognition about anything good done by him.
How you react when your child is going through one of the symptoms too may affect the child, even when your child is aggressive, you as the parent should take care that you remain calm and firm and wait for the bout to over and try to gain control over your child softly.
You should not put any sort of burden on your child, you can start by making realistic and small goals for you and your child to achieve together and later start by aiming a little higher, but take care that the goals do not exceed realistic nature.
Give your child heaps of attention, children are thoroughly enjoyable and care should be taken to enjoy their company enough.
You should spend quality time with your child where there is no interference between you and your child from anyone.
Spending quality time together will build a stronger bond between you and your child. You should also ensure that your child takes proper rest exhausted children often become more aggressive.
Involving your child in other activities rather than only school work can prove to be extremely fruitful for your child, children suffering from ADHD are often good at art, music, dance, etc.
It is necessary that as a parent you should not overburden yourself, it is necessary that you take proper rest yourself so that you have all the energy required for your child.
You can also participate in school programs and check whether there are any epecially for those suffering from ADHD this will surely benefit your child and the child with try to relax amongst those who are very much like him. |
