Soft hair can be easily attainable by following some simple home remedies rather than spending a fortune on the commercially available hair products. One of the home remedies for soft hair includes washing one’s hair with some vinegar to give it shine and softness that is achieved because vinegar helps in balancing the pH levels of the hair. One may also use vinegar on a daily basis to condition and clarify condition their hair. Another natural treatment for soft hair is to add one’s favorite hair oil to one’s shampoo which could be coconut, sunflower, peanut or castor oil as all these oils tend to add moisture, amino acids and other benefits to the hair. Hence by adding a few drops of oil to the shampoo, one would derive the benefits of both the natural oils as well as the commercial product.
A home remedy for soft hair is to use egg yolks as they are known to add beneficial vitamins and proteins like vitamin B5 which also help in preventing hair loss. One may deep condition ones hair by blending two egg yolks in a cup of water and an extra tablespoon of olive oil may also be added to this mixture for additional moisture. This mixture should be applied on the hair and then allowed to remain before washing it off after 15 minutes with some lukewarm water. Another natural product that is highly beneficial in softening the hair is castor oil which should be massaged into the hair at least once a week to make the hair soft and smooth. Similarly, one may also try a hot olive oil treatment by applying some warm olive oil to one’s hair and then washing it off with a mild shampoo. If a person’s hair is excessively dry then it is advisable to leave some oil in the hair and not rinse it out completely.
One should also be careful not to brush their hair when it is wet as they may cause the hair to stretch and eventually break as well. Many a times the hair become dry and brittle and loses its softness on account of the excessive use of chemical sin the form of hair color or harsh shampoos. Hence one should try and minimize or avoid the use of such products and try and use natural products for the hair as far as possible.
