soar throat remedies
A sore throat, often misspelt by many as soar throat, is basically the inflammation of the throat which is usually caused by a viral infection and then develops into the flu or a cold. A sore throat also occurs when the person already has a cold or is suffering from an attack of influenza. Some of the sore throat symptoms are chills and fever, irritation of the throat, difficulty in swallowing, swollen and tender lymph glands and pain in the throat. Some natural sore throat remedies include adding some honey and lemon juice to a glass of warm water and drinking this mixture to get immediate relief from sore throat pain. One of the sore throat remedies is to prepare some tea with dried chamomile blossoms and drink a few cups of this tea throughout the day to get relief. Sore throat remedies also include gargling with some warm salt water as it is known to be highly effective in providing relief from the symptoms of a sore throat. Instead of warm salt water one may also gargle with some aloe vera juice twice daily as one of the sore throat remedies. Some of the sore throat remedies that can be administered at home also include chewing on some small pieces of garlic and drinking or gargling with some warm water which has basil leaves boiled in it. Another natural treatment for a sore throat is to prepare and drink some honeysuckle tea by adding a cup of honeysuckle flowers. This tea may be sweetened with honey if required. Mango bark is also one of the effective sore throat remedies which could effectively be used to treat other throat problems as well. The fluid got from the mango bark which is taken out by grinding it could be made used to gargle the throat or could simply be applied nearby. One of the sore throat remedies for sore throats arising out of a cold is the use of cinnamon. All that is required is to take one teaspoon of roughly powdered cinnamon and boil it along with some pepper in some water along with two teaspoons of honey. In some cases, people have also mixed together two to three drops of cinnamon oil and some honey to gain relief from a sore throat. Similarly, a gargle that is prepared from fenugreek seeds and some warm water is known to be one of the highly effective sore throat remedies.
