Both men and women are known to strive for smooth and silky hair as it tends to give an overall luxurious look thereby enhancing the beauty of the individual. Besides the various commercial products that are available, there are various home remedies and natural treatments for silky hair that one may use as well. One of the most effective home remedies for silky hair is to massage some almond oil into the hair and allow it to remain overnight. Almond oil is known to strengthen the roots of the hair which in turn results in silky hair. Another natural treatment for silky hair is to use some olive oil and eggs as a natural conditioner which provides both soft and silky hair. Another ideal natural remedy for silky hair is to mix some lemon, curd and mustard oil and massage this into the hair for at least 30 minutes before washing it off with a mild shampoo. Similarly, one may also use some castor oil to massage the scalp and hair so as to get silky hair that is also soft and manageable.
While using oils as a natural treatment for silky hair one should remember not to use excess oil as it may weigh the hair down which in turn will defeat the purpose of the natural treatment for silky hair. Aloe vera is another wonderful natural product that is used for various skin problems and also for silky hair. The paste of aloe vera leaves may be incorporated into one’s regular shampoo as it acts a natural and effective moisturizer resulting in silky hair. Aloe vera may also be mixed with some coconut oil and massaged into the hair at least twice a week for smooth and silky hair. Similarly one could also crush the leaves of the hibiscus plant and apply the paste on ones scalp to get silky hair naturally at home. Some of the natural treatments for silky hair also recommend applying boiled apple pulp or even some apple juice on the hair just before washing it.
In addition to the various home remedies for silky hair one should also ensure that they follow a diet that is rich in protein which is required for shiny and silky hair. Silky hair could also be achieved at home by using a herbal shampoo for silky hair that contain Fuller’s earth and even the flour of gram or certain pulses. One should ensure that they also trim their hair regularly so that the dry ends are taken off.
