- Pressing a warm water bottle against the ear has been known to help to. Another alternative to this is to use a warm bag of salt.
- Steam inhalation is also among the effectively used home remedies for water in ear. Mix essential oils like eucalyptus, ginger and peppermint in steaming hot water. Put a towel over your head (this should cover the bowl as well) and inhale the steam.
- Use a hair dryer to get relief from water that is trapped in your ears. Always use the low setting on the dryer and position is about an arm’s length from your ear. Slowly move it back and forth. Test the temperature of the dryer air on your wrist before placing it near your ear. The warm air helps to evaporate the water trapped inside.
