Excessive acidity leads to several symptoms. Burning in the stomach is the most common symptom along with other common symptoms like gas, bloating, chest pain and heart burn. Excessive acidity can also lead to acid reflux when an individual feels acid in the throat after passing gas.
There are several home remedies for stomach acid. One of the best treatment for stomach acid is to control what is being consumed by the individual. Spicy food should be avoided as much as possible. Heavy meals may also be avoided if there is diarrhea or loose motion associated with the stomach acid problem. There are a whole range of lifestyle changes that can be used as home remedies for stomach acid. Fruits and vegetables should be consumed instead of processed foods. Certain leafy vegetables can help to calm the stomach down to a certain extent. Home remedies for stomach acids would also include water consumption. Increase your water consumption to at least 8-12 glasses a day so that the acidity is partially neutralized. One can also try smaller meals on a more regular basis as this prevents the stomach from being empty and developing a reserve of acid.
