Living with Brain Cancer

Being diagnosed with brain cancer can be worrying and even frightening. But there are some measures which may help you cope with the illness in a healthier manner:

  • Educate yourself about the type of brain tumor you have been diagnosed with. Talk to your doctor about any doubts that are running through your mind. You can also ask a family member to accompany you to your appointments. The more you know about your condition, the better able you will be to make decisions about your treatment.
  • Talk to a family member or someone you trust about what you are going through. You can also talk to a counselor or join a support group where you can learn about the experiences of other individuals with brain cancer.
  • Take good care of yourself during treatment. Eat healthy and exercise when you are able to. Rest well and try to make time for your hobbies.
