Wrinkle Cure
Wrinkles on the skin appear as the skin grows old and loses its natural moisture and elasticity. This is a natural process and cannot be avoided, but with a little bit of care and following some preventive steps, the ageing of skin can be delayed to some extent. Besides ageing, the wrinkles may also appear prematurely due to some other extraneous reasons. Some of the prominent factors for premature wrinkles are excessive smoking, prolonged exposure to the sun’s rays, improper lifestyle, and a naturally dry skin.
It may not be possible to erase wrinkles that appear in old age, but premature wrinkles can be treated with a few home remedies. Some of these home remedies are given here:
• Massage your skin with moisturizers and oils so that the skin doesn’t become dry. For a good massage, you can mix milk cream, olive oil and honey and rub this mixture onto the wrinkled skin.
• Sugarcane juice mixed with turmeric powder makes an excellent paste for treating wrinkles. Apply this paste on the wrinkles, allow it to dry up, and wash off with water afterwards.
• Rub slices of vegetables and fruits on the skin. Cucumber and pineapple slices are considered good for wrinkle treatment. You can also use the pulp of a ripe papaya or banana as a paste over the wrinkled skin.
Besides these home remedies you should also follow these preventive steps:
• Apply Moisturizer: Moisturizers are important for keeping the skin healthy and free from wrinkles. There are several oils, lotions, creams that you can use to keep your skin moisturized. Olive oil, coconut oil, and other essential oils are good for the skin. If you are using some moisturizer from the market, make sure that it is enriched with vitamin E.
• Drink the Recommended Amount of Water: Water is another important ingredient for keeping the skin healthy. Consumption of water eliminates dryness of skin and gives the skin a natural suppleness. Water helps to convey nutrients to akin cells and aids the removal of toxins.
• Diet: The foods you eat have an effect on your skin as well. Therefore, eat fresh and nutritious food consisting of lots of vegetables and fruits. Cigarette smoking, alcohol, and caffeinated drinks are better avoided.
Protect your Skin: Ultraviolet rays in the sun are harmful for the skin and the skin needs protection from it. Ensure that you wear protective clothing whenever you go out in the sun. Also, use sunscreen lotion before going outdoors. Further, you should also be careful when using cosmetics on your skin. Sometimes, harsh chemicals can also rob natural moisture from your skin, and make wrinkles appear prematurely.
