Losing weight is not easy. Nor is it that difficult. I provide some very simple tips that will at least get you started. I have followed this very religiously and have lost 11 Kilos in just over 3 months. I weigh 72 Kilos now and well within the acceptable BMI for my height.
- Drink a lot of water first thing in the morning and keep drinking more during the day
- Cut down on red meat and stick to poultry and fish if you must
- Cut down on alcohol, 10% at a time, if you cannot do better.
- Eat more green vegetables and fruits.
- Cut down on fried food. Just eat 1 portion less per week to start with. Reduce more gradually over the next few weeks.
- Walk briskly continuously for 20 minutes each day for at least 4 days a week. You must walk at 5 miles per hour. Breaking into a sweat while doing this will really make you feel good. Just ensure that you take a shower after that so others don’t run away from the sweat smell
- Drink enough water before and after the exercise so you do no dehydrate.
- Between your last meal and bedtime, keep a gap of at least 2 hours. Do not sleep on a a full stomach.
- Do not eat too much in one sitting. Eat less at each meal, more frequently if required. But let the food from your earlier meal be digested before you stuff more into yourself. Stick to non oily, vegetarian diet most of the time.
- Try and eat fruits and oatmeal for breakfast at least 3 times a week.
- Do some light weights if you can. This is not a must.
Maintaining weight after you reach your target can be tougher!!! But I use the “escape for 2 days in 2 weeks” approach and still maintain my 72 Kilos. I relax all the rules for 2 days every two weeks and just have a great time. After that,I am back to my regular diet and exercise - and that keeps me at 72 Kilos!
Try this out, its not going to cost you anything. In fact, this method of weight loss will in fact save you a bit of money, and help you get back in shape!!! Now, you cannot ask for anything better, can you?
