Venerial Warts

Venereal warts are also known as genital warts or condylomata acuminate. It is a very common sexually transmitted disease. Venereal warts most commonly affect the genital region of the body and are noticed in men and woman alike. Venereal warts are small boil like bumps that appear in and around the moist tissues of the genital region. They may increase in numbers like a rash if left untreated. Venereal warts can be treated with the help of modern medication and/or surgery, nonetheless it is still considered as a serious health concern as it can lead to cervical cancers as well as other types of genital cancers.

The human papilloma virus causes venereal warts and should not be taken lightly. There are different types of HVP viruses, however not all of them can cause genital or venereal warts. Venereal warts often clear up without any treatment. However, if the pain is intense and causes burning or itching in the affected areas you will have to visit your doctor immediately. Venereal warts need medical attention and in severe cases even surgery, in order to be treated. Home remedies aid the effectiveness of formal medication in building the immune system. Therefore, home remedies play a secondary role in the treatment of venereal warts.

• You can apply aloe vera juice on the warts in order to soothe the burning and itchy sensation.

• Avoid having sexual intercourse during this period as it can cause you immense pain. If you must indulge in sexual intercourse make sure you use a condom. This will ensure that you do not spread the infection.

• Consume foods rich in beta-carotene and folic acid. Foods rich in beta-carotene are pumpkins, carrots, apricots, mangoes, cantaloupe and peach. Rich sources of folic acid would include spinach, shiitake mushrooms papayas, raspberries, avocado, black-eyed peas, red bell peppers, oranges and lentils.

• Applying castor oil on the affected area will also help in soothing the pain and burning sensation.
