Fertility drugs are generally used when the ovaries are not producing abdicate amount of eggs. These are a form of hormone therapy and are designed to affect the ovaries to produce eggs. These drugs stimulate the women’s hormone to do there assigned job.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI): In this process the sperm of a man is first washed and the seminal plasma surrounding the sperm is also removed. This washed sperm is then introduced in the uterus by means of a thin plastic catheter that passes through the cervix and vagina. This process is generally painless and is accompanied by fertility drugs.
In Vitro Fertilization: This process was initially used to women have damaged fallopian tubes or no fallopian tubes at all. But now this process is used in all types of infertility. In this process sperms and eggs are allowed to meet successfully out side the body in a dish. When these eggs fertilize they are then transferred in the ovaries of the women.
Ovarian stimulation using either pergopnal or metrodin or both: In this process the follicles is closely observed for there development with the help of a transvaginal ultrasound when the eggs are big enough they are retrieved.
Surgical method
Depending upon the cause of infertility of women surgery can be used as the treatment option. It is mainly used when there is a blockage in the fallopian tubes. Surgery is also capable for curing other problems of fallopian tubes.
There are other methods for treatment of female infertility they are assisted reproductive technology, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasnic sperm injection, gamete intra-fallopian transfer, and intra-fallopian transfer.
