A vagina generally loosens due to age or other physical factors. The act of giving birth or indulging in too much sexual intercourse will rarely loosen the vagina. These cones are devices of varying weight, and are as big as a tampon. A cone is inserted in the vagina for some time. A set of these cones gradually increase in weight. You have to start off with the lightest one first, by inserting it into the vagina, followed by squeezing your muscles in order to hold it in place. This has to be done for 15 minutes, twice a day.
Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation is another method used wherein a probe, which produces electric current is inserted in the vagina. This current helps in stimulating the muscles situated on the pelvic floor, making them relax and contract. This procedure is usually performed twice a week, and each session is about 20 minutes. Another option would be to get a Vaginoplasty. This is a surgical procedure which helps in restoring the vaginas muscle tone and it also makes the vaginal canal tighter. The surgeon will remove any extra lining present on the vaginal walls so as to restore the muscle tone. Surgery is only considered in severe cases, and you should consult your gynecologist before making a decision.
