Pyorrhea Symptoms

The symptoms of pyorrhea or periodontitis, as the disease is commonly known, are quite easy to spot, particularly because this is not a disease that just pops out of the blue. It is characterized by a prolonged bout of gingivitis. Gingivitis is a condition wherein the gums are affected due to any number of reasons and the rot sets into the gums between the teeth and the gum. After this, you will experience bleeding of the gums, which becomes the first step towards the development of pyorrhea. Once you have developed bleeding gums, you may also notice constant bad breath that develops. Apart from these two things, you will also experience a recession of the gums, and eventual weakening of the teeth from the roots. The gums will most likely be red and inflamed and will be bleeding and emitting pus as well. The ultimate and last step of the disease is complete loss of teeth to infections. To start with following home remedies, you need to first gauge how far the disease has progressed. If you are in the formative stages, it is possible that mere home remedial measures could be of help. However, if you have a bad infection which has been around for a long time, you may find that you will need medical intervention with pharmaceuticals to get rid of it. All treatment for pyorrhea is aimed at getting rid of the infection.

You can follow proper oral hygiene and start with brushing and flossing your teeth regularly to begin with. It may be a little late in the day for the oral care to start, but remember that every little thing will be of help. Each night after brushing your teeth, take a mix of mustard oil and salt and scrub out your teeth and gums with this. This will be foul tasting to be sure, but will also be useful in helping to remedy your situation. First thing in the morning, take a large spoon of sesame oil and swish it about in your mouth for a good 10 minutes. Eventually, addition of saliva will increase the quantity, and the liquid in your mouth will slowly turn white from yellow. Spit it out and brush afterwards. This is an excellent remedy to help with pulling out toxins from your system overall and works especially well in healing pyorrhea. You can also rub lemon juice on your teeth and gums off and on.
