Pregnancy is a stage in which number of complications can occur. Moreover, they can occur to both mother as well as the child. One of the complications that can occur is the pre-eclampsia, eclampsia. It is a fatal one if it is not detected and treated.
Pre-eclampsia, eclampsia is a disease, in which the blood pressure increases. Most of the times, it occurs only during the first child and after the 20th week of pregnancy. In the initial stages, it does not show any symptoms and so it remains undetected for a long time. In such cases, it can be serious.
On the other hand in the further stages the symptoms developed by pre-eclampsia, eclampsia are eclamptic convulsions. In the beginning, the symptoms as simple roll of eyes, and twitching of the skin of mouth face is shown by the woman.
However, during the later stage, the muscles jerk vigorously, and blood starts to appear in saliva. This attack will continue for just two minutes after which the women may go because unconscious for some time, or get into coma. In some cases even heart failure can occur. Moreover, the pre-eclampsia, eclampsia is also dangerous for the child.
Medication is available for pre-eclampsia, eclampsia. However, in order to avoid its harmful effects it is always better to avoid it in the beginning itself.
