Osteoarthritis is generally associated with the wear and tear of the muscles. The patients suffering from this disease usually complain of having pain joint pain, joint swelling and inflammation, and even deformity. The Osteoarthritis patient usually complain of suffering main pain is greater when they are moving about and suffer lesser pain when resting.

Years of research has yield no significant result as to what may be the cause of the problem. Many times this is consider that some wear and tear may have course it, but in many cases people not having any previous injury may also suffer from the disease.
In spite to this, there are a few things, which can be considered as the course of Osteoarthritis.

The aging process can cause to the break down of the muscles and joints and cause Osteoarthritis. Athletes, laborers, and sports person often then not prolong there wear and tear, and have the risk of suffering from Osteoarthritis in later years.

Fractures and infections that have the ability do damage the internal tissue of a joint or the person who experiences repeated knee injury have higher risk of developing Osteoarthritis when thy get older. Other than this, the persons who subject themselves to repeated stress and strain also have higher chances of having Osteoarthritis in the older age.

Inactivity can be as harmful as overuse, lack of exercise or varied movement  are capable of weakening the muscles that support the joints and can end up causing Osteoarthritis. In some cases, it has been noticed that genes inherits the character and can develop the problem.

Osteoarthritis occurs in one or two points mainly the joints, which bear weight like hip, knee, spine, hands etc. Osteoarthritis causes to stiffness, the person will not be able to bend, climb stares or kneel. Osteoarthritis also causes sever pain due to the rubbing of overgrowth bone or minor stress fractures. The pain mainly appears in thigh, buttocks, groin, or knees. Spine, neck, arm or legs can also suffer from pain. In some cases bone enlargement, stiffness and swelling has also been noticed.  You must consult a doctor if you experience any of the above mentioned symptoms. Detection of osteoarthritis during initial stages can prove to be extremely helpful for you.
