The leftover debris from the food we consume accumulates on the surface of the teeth, forming a thin film called plaque. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be consumed regularly and the intake of soft drinks, white flour and sugar must be restricted. Using an anti-bacterial mouthwash will also help to treat gingivitis and reduce swelling.
