Vomiting and nausea of pregnancy is often described as morning sickness. It is a nauseated feeling during pregnancy. It is a very common condition found in women. Morning sickness occurs between fourth and sixth week of pregnancy.
Hormones of pregnancy are responsible for morning sickness. Morning sickness is considered to be a negative side effect of birth control pills. Morning sickness can significantly affect the functioning and well being of pregnant women. Some may experience this condition for a short duration.

Morning sickness may affect your job efficiency and you may find difficult to pursue your daily schedules. You are at a much higher risk for this kind of sickness if you are going to give birth to twins.

Morning sickness remedies include wearing of acupressure and acupuncture wristbands. You can also have apple cider vinegar with cold water. Intake of B6 vitamin also helps in reducing this nausea.

Morning sickness can be prevented in the following way:
Have frequent small meals. Avoid large meals. Avoid strong odors. After eating don’t lie down immediately. Eat more complex carbohydrates and fruits such as pasta and potatoes. You will find this food stuff easier to tolerate. Eat food that is rich in proteins as they help to fight nausea. Drink fluids half hour before the meal. Avoid drinking during your meal. Prefer cold food than hot food. Try bland foods and avoid spicy and fatty foods as they take time to digest. Consult your doctor before taking any kind of medicine.

Morning sickness may worsen if you get tired. That is why you should take more rest during the day. Don’t exhaust yourself by doing unnecessary work. If morning symptoms still persists talk to your doctor. He may prescribe you a safe medicine that will effectively treat your nausea to prevent any further complications.
