Leucorrhoea - Lleukorrhea Discharge
Leucorrhoea is a discharge more commonly spelt as leukorrhea. The color is white and the discharge tends to be rather thick. It is observed to come from the uterine cavity or one’s vagina. The color could also look yellowish and the presence of this discharge could be a signal that there is another problem with the body. This could be an issue with one’s reproductive organs or possibly a disorder which has cropped up in some other part of one’s body. Some of the frequent causes of leucorrhoea would be hygiene issues, estrogen imbalance and a diet which is not nutritious enough. There is a possibility of it being a sign that one’s body is facing difficulty in eliminating toxins or is facing some disorder.
Leukorrhea Pregnancy
An interesting fact to note is that even infants could be affected with this problem around the time of birth, owing to the fact that the hormones they face are quite varied in the pregnant woman’s blood stream. It could be estrogen or a number of other maternal hormones that the growing child could face exposure to, through the placenta. There is a hormonal effect due to the fact that the newly born child does not face such hormones once out of the womb. As a result of the hormonal effects doctors have noted that these infants might possibly have some temporary conditions. One of these conditions is reported in baby girls and this is that white fluid (discharge) is possible after birth, from the vagina. The reasons for this, as explained earlier, are different from the reasons behind leucorrhoea in adult women. In newly born girls, the term given to such discharge would be physiologic leukorrhea. This vaginal condition in infants is not something to get worked up about since about 2 months is all the time it needs to go away.
Leucorrhoea Treatment
In adults, you could benefit from taking a closer look at your diet to include more balanced nutrition. This would also mean more of minerals like zinc and vitamins including the ever popular Vitamin C. Cranberry juice, garlic and plenty of water could help with the discharge. Do check with your doctor if your leucorrhea is yellowish or possibly greenish as well as if there is an accompanying odor. The reasons such leucorrhea could be an alarming sign is because it could be an indication of disease, including a number of sexually transmitted ones.
