Insomnia can also be set off by drugs, stimulants, caffeine, hormonal shifts, mental disorders, menopause, and other medical conditions.

What are the Remedies? You can always buy sleeping pills but there are chances that you might get addicted to them. This can cause more harm than ever before and affect your body in the long run. The best remedies for insomnia are present in nature. Let’s take a look at some of them.

Milk is effective in fighting insomnia. You may add honey to milk to get peaceful sleep. You can also add honey to warm water to help you sleep. Have a refreshing bath before you go to bed. This will help you relax and aid sound sleep. You may sip on a kava kava drink a few hours before bed time to reduce tension and help you sleep better.

Apply hot packs to the spine and have a hot foot bath before going to bed. Boil the juice of celery leaves with stalks water and add honey. Consume one teaspoon of this every day before bedtime. Eating raw onions can also cure you of insomnia. So does taking two teaspoons of fenugreek leaves with one teaspoon of honey at bed time. One teaspoon of valerian juice can also work wonders on insomnia. You should take three cups of yogurt every day to help you sleep well. An increase in the consumption of vitamin B rich foods such as wholegrain cereals, pulses, and nuts are also useful in treating insomnia.

Sometimes our sedentary lifestyles can be the culprit. It is essential to exercise in order to sleep better. You can start walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, or skipping to sleep better.
