How to Keep Your Teeth White?

You can adopt a number of ways to keep your teeth shining and white with good health. It may not be necessary to adopt any extra measures to achieve this. However, you would have to keep following a tried and tested method of regular maintenance in order to get this effect. To start with, you would need to ensure that your teeth are never neglected in terms of cleanliness.  A lot of people think that brushing their teeth twice a day is enough to have and keep good teeth. This is not true. You also need to floss regularly as well as use some easy methods to ensure that your teeth are never less than completely clean. Remember that using mouthwash will hardly be helpful to your teeth. Instead, using plain tap water to rinse out your mouth thoroughly after each meal will go a long way towards keeping your teeth clean and free of food particles trapped in between. This will also help to keep your breath fresh and will clean your tongue too. This would mean that you will be rinsing your teeth and entire mouth out thoroughly and well at least four times a day, since that would presumably be the number of meals you would be eating.

How to Maintain White Teeth?

About once a week, take the trouble to shine your teeth out with your finger topped with a dash of lime juice. Lime juice is a mild and natural bleaching agent and will be extremely useful in helping to shine your teeth well. About once in two weeks or so, you can also use a touch of baking soda in your lime juice for added shine. You are better off using these products as opposed to tooth shining agents that are freely available over the counter. These will cause some amount of damage to your enamel and will make the general condition of your teeth poorer. There are also some foods you can eat which will have natural teeth cleansing properties. On the top of this list are strawberries, which contain certain oxides that are useful in helping to whiten the teeth. Guavas are also helpful in this regard, so you can try and eat them fresh or at least have the juice to help keep your teeth whiter. Fresh and unflavored yogurt is also an excellent resource to keep teeth whiter. It contains live bacteria that feed off plaque and food deposits which cause staining.
