Home Remedies For Acne and Pimples

Skin acne and pimples are skin conditions that can cause a variety of marks and spots on the skin. Acne and pimples are caused when pores get clogged by oil and dead skin. The skin can get infected due to the clogging of the pores, causing a spread of pimples all over the area. If you pick or squeeze these, they will most likely leave a mark.

Fortunately, there are ways to get rid of both pimples and the spots that are caused by them. There are a variety of ingredients from your kitchen that could be used as home remedies to treat these spots. Here are some home remedies that you can try.

  • The most effective remedy for scars, spots, and marks is lemon. Lemon juice is used as the primary ingredient for most skin lightening cosmetic preparations. The chemicals contained in lemon juice have a bleaching effect on the skin. To use lemon juice, clean your face with a mild soap and lukewarm water, dab a ball of cotton in freshly squeezed lemon juice and then apply it all over your face. You do not need to rinse your face after you’ve used lemon on it. However, if you are planning to step out into the sun after applying lemon, make sure that you’re wearing sunscreen because lemon juice tends to make the skin very photosensitive.
  • Another effective remedy for acne scars is baking soda. Commonly used in making cookie dough and cakes, baking soda is an extremely good for exfoliating skin. The small granules of baking soda result in micro-abrasion, getting rid of all the dead cells from the smallest of the pores on your skin. To exfoliate your skin using baking soda, just mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with some filtered water and then use this mixture to exfoliate your skin gently. Keep rubbing it on the scars for about a minute and then rinse the paste off. This will help get rid of the marks.
  • Olive oil and the pulp of the olive fruit are considered some of the best remedies for marks and spots. You can use olive oil right after exfoliation of your skin to retain the elasticity, youthfulness, and suppleness of the skin. Marks and spots are more apparent on the skin if the skin is dry and sagging. The nutrients in olive oil work like moisturizing nutrients that penetrate the skin and moisturize the skin even deeper. This improves the texture of the skin and helps remove spots from the epidermal layer.
