The reasons for ringworm infection are excessive sweating, deficiency of fatty acids in the scalp, wounds in the skin, infection from pets like cats and dogs, wearing unclean clothes, and sharing towels or combs of infected persons.
Prevention: The best way of preventing ringworm infection is to avoid sharing clothes, sports equipment, towels, or sheets.
