Heat Stroke Remedies

Heat strokes are one of the most underrated yet fatal conditions that people suffer today. During a heat stroke, a person’s body reaches an abnormally elevated body temperature, which may also be accompanied by some types of physical and neurological symptoms. Under normal circumstances, the body will generate heat as a result of metabolism and get rid of this heat via evaporation of sweat or radiation of the heat through the skin. However, in conditions like high humidity levels or extreme heat, the body’s ability to dissipate this heat will be severely curtailed, thereby causing the body’s temperature to gradually rise to extremely high levels. A person suffering from dehydration is also prone to heat strokes because the lack of water content in the body will make less than optimal levels of sweat creation, thereby making it harder for the body to dissipate heat through this medium. This will in turn cause an increase in the levels of heat in the body. The symptoms that people will show when suffering a heat exhaustion which will lead to a heat stroke include weakness, fatigue, vomiting, headache, muscle cramps, dizziness and nausea.
