When you feel the symptoms of heartburn, try eating several almonds to get relief. You can also try lemon strips dipped in salt. Eat them with meals to prevent heartburn. Lemon rinds are also effective in curing heartburn.
You can eat bananas, cooked rice, or bread. Sour cabbage helps to relieve the congestion. You can also eat cucumber or drink its juice. Eating an apple with every meal is also a great remedy. Carbonated drinks or honey mixed in lime juice will work wonders to alleviate heartburn. You can drink basil, peppermint, salvia, or chamomile tea.

Do not lie down as soon you eat, sit straight or stand up. When you sleep keep your head in an elevated position.
