For people suffering from low blood sugar, bananas help in regulating blood sugar levels by converting carbohydrates to glucose. A fine paste of ripe bananas is believed to be effective in healing wounds and burns as it reduces inflammation and soothes the skin. After applying this paste to the affected area, covering the area with some gauze quickens the healing process. This paste can also be used as a face mask for healthy, blemish-free skin. Leave on a liberal layer of mashed bananas for 15 minutes, before washing it off to reveal glowing, nourished skin.
