Are you feeling scaly, like a fish? Do you have a dry skin? Dry skin is a common problem experienced by many, especially teenagers. It gives a wrinkly look to your face, thereby making you look much older! The predominant cause for a dry skin is the weather, stress or genetic inheritance. Enhancing such a skin is an easy, but complicated issue! Decreasing the frequency of bathing is a good idea. But, if this is not possible, try decreasing your bathing time and use a moisturizer, after bath. Warm water is preferable. Wear cotton and silk clothes, as they help your skin to respire. Use soaps with high total fatty matter (TFM) and avoid usage of dry soaps. Dry skin is accompanied by itching, skin peeling, appearance of flakes and dehydrated skin. Avoid washing clothes with detergents which contain perfumes and dyes. Dab your skin lightly, after bath, allowing some amount of water to remain.

Try these simple methods to save your dry skin:

- Topical application of avocado oil is beneficial.
- Apply aloe vera gel on your skin.
- Sesame oil is applied on moist skin to help you from dry and flaky skin.
- Coconut oil is also effective against dry skin.
- Almond meal and oat meal is tied in a cloth and used instead of soap.
- Honey improves the complexion by removing the dead cells and rejuvenates the skin.
- Application of olive oil works wonders!
