Eyebrow Hair Growth

Who doesn’t like beautifully shaped eyebrows? Though they are often considered of less importance in the face, they are one of the most prominent features. For women whose eye brows are too thick or those whose eyebrows are too thin, getting the ideal arch is a dream.
Eyebrow growth is something that women all over the world are concerned about. That is perhaps the reason, some women spend a considerable amount of time plucking their eyebrows to give it a perfect smooth shape and others use pencils to darken their thin growth.

Eyebrow hair regrowth is considerably fast and for those women, who have thick, bushy eyebrows; this can present a real problem. The actually time taken by the eyebrows to fully regrow depends a lot on the method of removing them. Usually, if plucked, eyebrow regrowth takes about two months. However, if you have used other methods like waxing to remove your eyebrows, the eyebrow hair growth takes less than two months and the regrowth becomes noticeable in about two to three weeks.

While using these methods to remove the hair right from the follicle has proved to be beneficial for many women, overdoing it can cause eyebrow loss, which is a problem many women are unfortunate enough to suffer from.

Here are some of the common eyebrow loss causes:

• Alopecia Areata – this is a condition in which there is hair loss due to a skin disorder. Even though this condition primarily affects the scalp, it may also affect the eyebrows.

• Androgenic Alopecia – also known as male pattern baldness causes eyebrow loss in both men and women.

• Allergy to local anesthesia

• Strong antibiotics or other medication

• Autoimmune Disorders

• Strong medication and therapies like chemotherapy

• Skin eczema

• Fungal Infections are a common eyebrow loss cause

• Hormonal problems and disorders

• Over Plucking or shaving of eyebrows

• Local parasites

• Other skin diseases like psoriasis, sclerodoma and seborrhea

• Scleroderma.

An effective solution for eyebrow loss is hair transplant. For a transplant, other hairs in the body are inspected. If hair matching the color, texture, length and thickness of the eyebrow hairs are found anywhere on the body, they are used for the transplanting. Though the transplanted hair begins to grow in sometime, it can take up to 6 months for the hairs to completely blend in with the other hairs in the eyebrows.
