Foods for Liver Cirrhosis Prevention:

Liver cirrhosis is a disorder of the liver wherein the liver cells get hardened, thus making it difficult for it to function normally. This condition is caused when several widespread nodules are developed along with fibrosis in the liver. The structure of the liver is therefore deformed by the excessive fibrosis and development of nodules. This leads to an obstruction and interference in the normal flow of blood passing through the liver. Individuals affected by cirrhosis of the liver complain of symptoms like constipation, gradual loss of appetite leading to weight loss, general weakness and fatigue. There is also a possibility of the affected individuals experiencing upset stomachs and even a bout of typhoid. Excessive alcoholism and hepatitis C are considered to be the primary factors leading to cirrhosis of the liver.

This condition is also responsible for the body’s lowered ability to absorb nutrients leading to malnutrition. In general, the majority of liver disorders occur due to a consequence of vitamin A deficiency. Consumption of carrots and apples is highly recommended in order to tackle this deficiency. The inclusion of these fruits in your diet will immediately show a substantial improvement in your health. Including fresh fruits and vegetables in your regular diet plan is beneficial in increasing your energy levels and enhancing your immunity. It is a good idea to consume them raw in order to preserve their nutritional value.

It is always advisable to drink large amounts of water. Increased consumption of water will be instrumental in ensuring that your liver functions normally and does not get over used. It is also important to ensure that you get sufficient sleep and relaxation. Try to avoid any strenuous physical activities that sap your energy. If you must, exercise judiciously and about 15 to 20 minutes of walking daily should suffice, till you get enough strength to walk for longer durations. Make sure you get plenty of fresh air and sunshine, which will be very beneficial for your overall health. It is extremely important that you avoid the consumption of alcohol completely. Consumption of alcohol can create complications and can even be fatal. Include white meats in your diet as these are considered to be effective in providing high amounts of protein. Chicken and turkey are good sources of white meat. Red meats and all kinds of dairy products should be completely avoided. Increasing your consumption of omega 3 fatty acids such as flaxseed oil and primrose oil will be useful in clearing away any imbalances in the body. These fatty acids are also helpful in reducing the amount of unsaturated fats in the body. Do not resort to self medication without the advice of your physician.
