Diaper rash
Diaper rash is a common form of inflamed skin called dermatitis. This usually occurs when the skin is exposed to prolonged wetness caused by urine. Diaper rash are common with babies during their first 15 months of age. They are mainly caused by local infection or by the consumption of antibiotic by the babies. Other factors that can lead to this problem include diarrhea or unchanged nappies.
Parents usually get worried on seeing the condition of their babies but most of the time the rashes disappear after few home treatments. The following are some of the home remedies beneficial for curing this problem.

    • Parents should change the babies diaper as frequently as possible to avoid this problem. Even the bottom of babies should be washed with warm water and should be dried before putting another diaper.
    • If cloth diaper is used, than it should also be washed properly to remove the traces of soap or detergents that can irritate babies skin.
    • Coconut oil can be applied on babies skin to give a soothing effect. Aloe vera gel is also helpful for treating the rash problem.
    • The rash can be treated with a mixture of baking soda and water each time the diaper is changed.
