Bronchiectasis is the medical term used to define the condition where in a person’s large airways are narrower and are also injured. The main problem that is responsible for this condition is an inflammation that occurs which affects the person. It can also be an infection which could affect an individual’s airways. These may be recommended in conjunction with postural drainage. The doctor may recommend a range of respiratory exercises that will need to be practiced. At times chest physical therapy is all recommended as another viable option to provide relief from this condition of bronchiectasis. Chest therapy is a kind of treatment which requires clapping of one’s chest energetically. Certain lifestyle changes are also recommended that can lead to a build up of mucus in one’s system. Some of the possible foods include soy, meat, milk and oils. Lung injury may also be another cause of this condition developing in some people. The patient should highlight all these conditions to the doctor for them to correctly ascertain the origin of the problem.
