Arthritis is referred to the condition in which joints suffer from extensive wear and tear.  There are several causes of arthritis; genetic, nutritional, or physical, are only a few all causes of arthritis that are recognized by most experts. Therefore, it is important to carefully study and understand this condition.

It is important to diagnose and cure or care for arthritis as early as possible. Therefore, everybody should be ware of the initial signs of arthritis. If these signs are observed in, anybody then there is a good possibility that he or she may be having arthritis. Some of the common signs and symptoms of arthritis are given below.

The most common symptom of arthritis is pain in the joints. Generally, arthritis affects one or two joints in the body. It does not often affect all the joints in the body at the same time. Therefore, if a person experiences pain in one or more joints and there is no explanation as injury etc for this pain, then this can be considered as are sign of arthritis.

However, the pain patterns depend upon the types of arthritis. Moreover, it will depend upon the joint affected as well. For example, osteoarthritis causes pain in the night, while rheumatoid arthritis will cause in the morning.

Development of stiffness and tenderness in the joints are very common symptoms in all the kinds of arthritis. Therefore, the movement of such joint becomes restricted and the patient becomes partially handicapped. In some of the types of arthritis like osteoarthritis, gout, etc, the pain is for are prolonged period. It does not fade away with time. In some others like rheumatoid arthritis, it occurs in the recurring form. It comes and goes away.

No matter what the causes of arthritis would be it affects the surrounding tissues in the joint as well. Muscles nerves and tendons are very common affected. Therefore, any symptoms related to them as well can be the warning signs of arthritis. Redness as well can occur in almost all the types of arthritis. In septic arthritis, occurrence of fevers is very common.

Therefore, pain in joints accompanied with fever is an indication of septic arthritis. In gout, generally there is a warm feeling in the joints. Moreover, gout is also accompanied with the swelling of the joint. This swelling is so much that the entire joint appears to be swelled.

Stills disease, which is one of the arthritis, is accompanied with high fevers and rashes on the skin. If any body is exposed to or prone to the causes of arthritis and he experiences these symptoms then he should get himself diagnosed.
