Reversible Hair Loss:
When you use a lot of styling products, hair colors or perms continually, it can cause damage to your hair. Many times, you will experience hair breakage and this will make your hair feel thinner than it really is. There are times when perms and colors go awry and may cause reversible hair loss. You may find that after a perm that is not done correctly or a color treatment that is left in too long that your hair falls out. This is because your hair has been damaged. The good news is that this damage is not permanent and your hair will grow back in time.
There are some people that also believe that brushing your hair too much can also cause hair loss. In reality, what is happening is that you are seeing the product of brushing. You lose hundreds of hairs each and every day. It is normal. So, when you brush your hair and see the brush tangled with hair, you shouldn’t worry too much. Brushing is not causing your hair loss. You should know, however, that keeping your hair in tight ponytail holders, hats or other headgear could cause you to lose patches of your hair. It will grow back, but you must remember that this is very common.
