Acne Cure Home Remedy
Acne refers to a collection of skin diseases that usually occur during adolescence. It is marked by an eruption of several red pimples on the cheeks, chin and forehead. It is a natural phenomenon and will go away by itself. There a number of beauty products sold over the counter too that act against acne. However, most of these products are either ineffective or extremely expensive. And fact remains that you can treat acne effectively using a variety of home remedies that will eventually turn out far more economical and effective.
The simplest remedy is toothpaste. Apply toothpaste gently over all your pimples and leave it on when you go to sleep. This remedy will start showing results from day one. Oatmeal application too is effective. Cook oatmeal really well before application and leave it on for at least twenty minutes. Then wash off with cold water. A mixture of lemon juice and rose water is another recommended cure. Use equal proportions of lemon juice and rose water to make the mixture and apply it all over your face. Leave it on for half an hour and then rinse it off. The lemon serves to reduce the oiliness that causes the pimples to erupt, while rose water effectively nourishes the skin. The application of fresh mint juice too will help in healing acne quickly.
Another cure is strawberry leaves. Crush them well and apply directly on to the pimples. A few days of this treatment will show a visible reduction in the eruptions. One could also use orange peels similarly. Mash the peels first, mix it in water to form a paste and then apply on to your face. Leave it on for at least half an hour before rinsing it off. Turmeric is another effective cure. Either grind raw turmeric or use a paste made of turmeric powder for the application. For best results, mix some fresh mint juice with the turmeric. Another cheap remedy is garlic. It is extremely effective against acne when its paste is applied on to the pimples directly. The downside though, is that it leaves an unpleasant smell on your skin.
Other remedies can be as simple and cheap as cooking vinegar and salt. Mix the two together and rub the mix gently over the pimples and leave it on for half an hour. This treatment produces visible results when repeated regularly. Application of egg whites, carrot and cucumber juice are other known remedies to fight acne.
