Canker Sores
Canker sores, also known as aphthous ulcers are small sores that occur inside the mouth. They are red in color and sometime have white coating over them. They usually appear in the inner surface of the mouth like lips, tongue, cheeks. Canker sores are often painful and can appear at any age but usually appear between the ages of 10 and 40.

People suffering from it find it difficult to eat or talk. The exact reason of this is not known but doctors usually link it to the problem with a weak immune system. The problem can be triggered by reasons like stress, allergies, menstrual periods, hormonal changes or sometime by viral infection.

It has been seen that home remedies are very helpful for treating Canker sores. The following are some of them

    * Gargling with hot and cold water alternatively helps to reduce canker sores.
    * Drinking lots of water helps in healing of canker sores.
    * Rinsing the mouth with a glass of water in which salt is
    added, have been known to cure canker sores or al least to subside it.
    * Fried foods like potato chips etc should be avoided.
    * Baking powder can be applied on the sores, it will help in relieving the pain.
    * Onion juice is another excellent home remedy for canker sores .The juice can be applied on the canker sores.
    * Taking fresh fruits especially papaya has helped people with this problem.

Bursitis
A bursa is a tiny sac filled with fluid. It is found in every joint of the human body. Bursa helps ensure the free movement of joints. It is essential for smooth and painless movement of the limbs and joints of the human body.
The human body contains about160 bursa in all. The inflammation or irritation of bursa results in what is called ‘Bursitis’. The people who suffer from bursitis may feel pain while moving the affected part of the body. This is usually caused due to one or more of the following reasons :-

    • By the repetitive or minor impact on the area,
    • Injury,
    • Stress,
    • Old age,
    • Incorrect posture.
    • It can also be caused by other inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.

        Burns
        Burns are a potential hazard in every home. It is a type of injury to the skin caused by heat, cold, electricity, chemicals or radiation. There are different types of burns like first degree burns which are usually limited to redness and slight pain. The second degree burns lead to blistering on the skin and can be more painful. The third degree burns are the most serious as it involves all the layers of skin. There might be no pain or the area may feel numb because of nerve damage.
        Burns are dangerous as sometimes they can even result in death. The general first aid treatment is immediately required for burns. The following are some of the home remedies techniques to treat burns :

          1.When a person suffers from burns through fire, the victim should be rolled on the ground and wrapped with rugs, blankets or a coat.
          2. Affected area should be washed in cold water for at least ten minutes to avoid swellings and to relieve pain.
          3. Honey can be applied to the affected area to heal the wounds. But this should be applied only after washing the area.
          4. Aloe vera gel is a good remedy for burns. Even a lotion made of vitamin A can be applied.
          5. Vitamin E is helpful for preventing scarring.
