An insect bite rarely needs a medical attention, but the scars, swellings and pain which they leave can be troublesome.
  • To avoid the stings or insects from getting in the house close windows and doors during the period of sunset. This is the most common time for insects to drive in our homes.
  • Apply calamine lotion on the bites. This will act as a great coolant and prevent itching.
  • Rub ice on the sting or bite. This is also an immediate and effective remedy to avoid red patches and spots on the skin.
  • Make a paste by dissolving 1 tsp baking soda in water. Apply this directly on the sting for 15-20 minutes.
  • Check all your bed sheets and pillow covers and corners of the bed for these bugs; if present then spray appropriate medicine according to the type of bugs to drive them away.
