Alternative cure for heartburn

What home remedy do you suggest for heartburn?

Keep the following points in mind to avoid heartburn -
  • Relax, eat slowly. Chew each morsel at least 32 times before gulping it down.
  • Even though it is your favorite food avoid overindulging in any particular food.


  • Relax and sit after eating a meal, preferably eat at least 2-3 hours before sleeping time.
  • Avoid eating excessively oily or fried foods, spicy foods, spices and condiments, red pepper, meat, pickles, sour foods, strong tea and coffee.
  • Sweet preparations like heavy cakes, pastries, sweets and aerated drinks should also be avoided.  
  • Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol and chewing tobacco.
  • Stress also worsens heartburn, avoid any kind of stress may it be physical or psychological.
