Natural remedies for croup

As parent it is natural to worry when your child sounds awkward in the night. Try these remedies for your child to heal his cough and croup –

• Use a vaporizer for your child to keep his airway moisturized or simply encourage him to take a nice hot shower before going to bed. This will also help.
  
  
  
  
• Avoid milk consumption for few days as milk can cause more congestion and phlegm.
  
• Encourage hot fluids like vegetable soups and chicken broth.
  
• Take extra care of your child, love him, play with him, cuddle him, talk with him and keep him happy. It is normal for a child to get irritated and cranky when he is suffering from croup and cough. But crying would worsen his condition.
