Polycystic ovary commonly known as polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common condition which affects the reproductive organ (ovaries) of a woman. It is characterized by weight gain, irregular menstrual cycles, and excessive hair growth. In this the size of ovaries gets larger than normal and the outer sac of ovaries gets accumulated with fluid.
This is a common condition among the infertile women as in this condition a woman rarely ovulates. The exact cause for this condition is still unknown however heredity and genes are often blamed.
