Natural Cure for Swelling
It is important to know what has caused the swelling that you are experiencing. Swelling is a natural reaction of the body to an injury. When an injury takes place, the fluid that normally flows through the blood vessels gets ruptured and instead begins to leak to the adjoining tissues.
The accumulation of these fluids causes swelling. Sometimes swelling occurs without an injury and is a gradual result of congealed blood or fluids in a particular area, especially seen in the arm or a leg. This would need to be checked by a medical examiner as it is a case of internal swelling that may be caused due to ruptured blood vessels or internal damage unseen to the eye.
Facial swelling occurs during an allergic reaction and there is sneezing and puffy watery eyes accompanying the symptoms. At such times anti-histamine works best before you get to the doctor. For swellings caused by injury apply an ice pack covered with a thick cloth to the affected area. And apply compression to press down the swelling. Most importantly rest the injured area and try not to move around to allow the boy to settle down. The more you try to mobilize yourself during an injury the higher the likelihood of the swelling getting worsened as blood rushes and other fluids accumulate on a faster level.
