Try the following home remedies for bloating -
  • To avoid bloating chew 1 tsp of fennel seeds and ajwain after meals.
  • Avoid eating chewing gum, swallowing air, fried/oily foods.
  • Do not sleep or lie down immediately after meals, this will increase the feeling of bloating.
  • Soak small ginger pies in lemon juice. Chew these pieces after a meal to prevent bloating.
  • Prevent constipation; include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet.
  • Avoid gas forming vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, radish and bananas.
  • Stress, inactivity and reclining may worsen the situation.
