Advice for taste bud on tongue

What you are talking about is probably a type of fibroma — a benign tumor that sometimes grows in the mouth or tongue, usually as a result of some injury. Taste buds are natural features of the tongue. They are present on the papillae — the several natural bumps on the surface of the tongue — as well as on the soft palate and the epiglottis, and are basically what give us our sense of taste.

On the other hand, what you seem to be suffering from is a growth of hard tissue, most probably as a result of biting the tip of your tongue. If this is the case, there is no need to worry. The bump will disappear on its own in a week or so. It is also possible that you have what are known as “lie bumps”. These too are harmless and temporary, and usually also considered to be due to some minor local injury. In both cases, if you experience some pain or discomfort, you can gargle with salt water or apply ice to the tip of your tongue a few times a day. If the pain is still too much to bear or if the bump persists for more than ten days, you should visit your doctor.
