Natural remedies on tendinitis

Tendinitis is a condition that affects your tendons. Tendons are the thick cords which attach your muscles with your bones. These tendons are covered with a thick bunch of tissues. These tissues can be affected by the age of the patient and may show some wear and tear. Other reason for tendonitis could be medical conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. Tendonitis usually affects the tendons around your shoulder, elbows, wrists and heels. You will notice tenderness and pain in the joint that has been affected. In some cases there may also be some mild swelling.

The most effective remedy for tendonitis is rest. You need to give the affected tendon rest and in order to do so you should take it easy. If you are prone to tendonitis then you should chalk out a programme of physical activity which will help you prevent the occurrence of this condition in the future. However, you should seek the advice of a professional health care person before you start on this. Avoid exercises that give you pain and seem to be adversely affecting your tendons. Always stretch before you begin your exercise. If you experience pain in a particular region after your exercise, you can apply an ice pack on the region to get relief.
