Remedies for burning sensation in the feet

A burning sensation in the feet is a fairly regular occurrence for several people. People generally notice this during the summer months. The heat sometimes results in people experiencing a burning sensation.

You can easily soothe the burning sensation by following some simple home remedies. However, if the burning sensation in your feet is accompanied by any other symptoms like pain or discharge of any kind, you should certainly visit the doctor.

Using a paste of fresh henna leaves on the soles of your feet is an easy way to get relief from the burning sensation.

Washing your feet in cold water will help too. You can also fill a shallow basin with cold water and immerse your feet in this. This will provide relief not only from the burning sensation but also help your feet relax after a hard day's work.   Try to avoid eating hot food. Instead include lots of fruits and fruit juices in your meals. Drinking buttermilk can also be beneficial. Eat lots of yogurt too. Try to avoid drinking tea and coffee. You should take off your shoes for some time during the day, to ensure that your feet can breathe. Wear open sandals rather than tight shoes.
